Carpenter & Paterson, Inc. is currently hiring for a full-time Press Break Operator to work at our Waggaman, LA location. Press Shop Operators are responsible for operating and maintaining the hydraulic and mechanical press equipment.
Essential Duties:
- Operate press brake & Plate Roll equipment in accordance with the work order
- Assist the department foreman in meeting production targets
- Maintain quality standards
- Keep work area clean and orderly
- Notify managers concerning any non-conformities and the need for repairs to the facility or equipment
- Maintain a healthy and safe working environment
Shifts Available:
- 6:00am - 2:30pm or 3:00pm - 1:30am
Ideal Candidate:
- Previous experience a plus
- Must be able to measure quickly and accurately
- Exceptional attention to detail
- Basic computer knowledge
- Be able to stand and work in a warm environment for long periods of time
- Good working knowledge of figures and numbers
- Be able to work quickly and efficiently
- Be able to lift and carry heavy objects (over 50 pounds)
