Carpenter Co. has an opening for an SAP Manufacturing Analyst, MM at our corporate office in Richmond, Virginia. This position is onsite and is responsible for using SAP tools to create business solutions, solve complex business problems, and provide support to users of the Materials Management module.
Carpenter Co. employees are committed to working hard to ensure production goals are met while maintaining operations excellence. As the successful candidate, you will be expected to design programs and implement enhancements to the Materials Management module.
Your additional responsibilities as the SAP Manufacturing Analyst will include:
- Maintain the logistics reporting architecture in SAP including plants, warehouse locations and profit centers.
- Support and train users of the SAP materials management, production planning and plant maintenance modules
- Assist in reviewing and testing new system upgrades
- Troubleshoot and otherwise assist in the resolution of production problems and issues.
- Integration with project system (PS), sales and distribution (SD), production planning (PP) and financial accounting (FI)
- Works with internal, cross-functional teams to develop, design and configure SAP to support business needs and processes. Evaluates software usage effectiveness.
- Understand business implications and incorporate understanding into technical and process improvement and/or module enhancement recommendations
- Organizational integration and master data structures and configuration
Skills/ Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT or other related discipline
- 8 years working with the SAP IMG and SAP transport systems
- 8 years working within the SAP MM module
- 5 ABAP Programming ALV reports and screens
- 2 years project management
- Experience configuring SAP Materials Management module
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills
- Ability to synthesize complex data sets
- Intermediate Microsoft Word skills
- Ability to write technical documentation
- Strong SAP FICO skills with a good understanding of all the integration points with MM/SD modules
- Basic understanding of SAP manufacturing logistics systems
