Required Skills/Abilities:
- Must have a valid driver's license
- Experience in a related field preferred
- Excellent communication skills
- Must be able to operate a forklift or the willingness to learn
- Computer skills and knowledge of data entry
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment paying special attention to detail.
Education and Experience:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Must be able to lift up to 60 pounds
- Must be able to ascend and descend ladders
- Moving about to accomplish tasks from one workstation to another throughout most of the day
Job Summary:
The Inventory Control Inspector will support the day-to-day activities and duties within a very high-volume Shipping and Receiving Department at Turbine Engine Consultants, Inc. This individual performs receipt of, shipment of, and issuance of aviation parts, products, and supplies.
Duties/Responsibilities:
- Verify incoming shipments of parts and shop supplies using applicable documents
- Maintain a clean, professional, and organized warehouse
- Track and document all incoming and outgoing shipments
- Receiving, signing, and unloading deliveries from trucks
- Organizing and storing received items in appropriate area
- Updating the Inventory Management System with received items
- Maintaining records of orders, delivery details, etc.
- Comparing purchase orders with invoices and packaging lists
- Picking, packing, and shipping of multiple orders daily - domestic, and international
- Palletizing shipments
- Performs Haz-Mat (Hazardous Materials) identification, storage, & transportation
- Provides backup support for other positions and job functions in the department
- Performs other duties as assigned
