About the Role
Caronna's Market is looking for a friendly, dependable team member to join our Deli and Meat Department. This is a great fit for someone who takes pride in good food, enjoys working with people, and wants to be part of a market that values quality and service. No advanced experience required we're happy to train the right person who shows up ready to work and willing to learn.
What You'll Do
- Slice, weigh, package, and label deli meats, cheeses, and prepared items
- Assist customers at the deli and meat counter and take orders
- Cut, trim, wrap, and stock fresh meat products
- Keep display cases stocked, rotated, and looking their best
- Follow food safety and sanitation standards, including proper handling and storage
- Clean and maintain equipment and work areas throughout your shift
- Provide friendly, helpful service that keeps customers coming back
Experience & Skills
- Previous food service, deli, kitchen, or grocery experience is preferred but not required we'll train the right person
- Comfort with basic food prep and slicing, or willingness to learn proper technique
- Understanding of (or willingness to learn) food safety and sanitation standards
- Good knife skills are a plus
- Able to stay on your feet, lift moderately heavy items, and handle manual tasks
- A positive attitude, reliability, and the ability to serve customers well in a busy environment
Schedule (28 hours/week)
- Tuesday: 10:00 AM – 6:00 PM
- Thursday: 10:00 AM – 6:00 PM
- Saturday: 10:00 AM – 6:00 PM
- Sunday: 9:00 AM – 1:00 PM
