Duties
- Prepare baked goods by following instructions accurately, including dough preparation, and pastry creation
- Package baked items efficiently to ensure freshness and presentation quality
- Operate kitchen equipment such as mixers, ovens, slicers, and other baking tools safely and effectively
- Maintain a clean workspace by adhering to food safety management practices and sanitation standards
- Assist in food handling tasks, including portioning, assembling catering orders, and food preparation
- Support food industry standards by ensuring proper storage, rotation, and inventory of baked goods and ingredients
- Provide friendly customer service by answering questions about products and helping customers find their favorite items
- Must be able to lift, carry, and handle items weighing up to 25lbs.
- Must be comfortable working in varying temperatures, including refrigerated, freezer, and warm environments as needed.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in baking, pastry preparation, or a food industry is a plus but not necessary
- Knowledge of food safety protocols and food handling regulations
- Ability to operate kitchen equipment safely and efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Basic math skills for measuring ingredients accurately and managing inventory
