Role Description The Structural Heart Disease Nurse Practitioner is a full-time, on-site role based in Tucson, AZ, working within the Carondelet Heart and Vascular Institute and related cardiology services. This role provides advanced practice care for patients with structural heart disease, including comprehensive assessments, diagnostic interpretation, treatment planning, and ongoing management in collaboration with cardiologists and the multidisciplinary team. Day-to-day responsibilities include conducting clinic visits and hospital rounds, ordering and reviewing tests and imaging, coordinating pre- and post-procedure care, and educating patients and families on treatment options, lifestyle changes, and follow-up plans. The Nurse Practitioner will participate in case conferences, contribute to quality improvement initiatives, ensure adherence to evidence-based guidelines, and support program development for structural heart services. This position involves close coordination with physicians, nursing staff, and ancillary departments to optimize patient outcomes and care transitions.

Qualifications
- Advanced clinical skills in cardiology and structural heart disease management, including patient assessment, differential diagnosis, and interpretation of diagnostic studies.
- Experience providing acute and chronic care in hospital and outpatient settings, including pre- and post-procedural management and coordination of multidisciplinary care.
- Strong patient education and counseling abilities, with a focus on communicating complex clinical information clearly and supporting shared decision-making.
- Effective collaboration and communication skills for working with physicians, nurses, technicians, and other healthcare professionals in a team-based environment.
- Commitment to quality improvement, evidence-based practice, and adherence to regulatory, safety, and infection prevention standards.
- Current Nurse Practitioner license (or eligibility) in the state of Arizona and national certification as an NP; advanced cardiac or acute care NP certification preferred.
- Master’s or Doctoral degree in Nursing from an accredited program; prior cardiology or structural heart experience strongly preferred.
