Caron Transportation Systems USA is a bulk transportation company established in 2013 under the same ownership as Caron Transportation Systems located in Canada; which has been in the transportation industry for 65 years. We are currently seeking full-time CDL Class A Drivers for Over the Road (OTR) positions hauling hazmat commodities. This role involves responding quickly to travel assignments and requires drivers who can mobilize on short notice. While our headquarters are in San Angelo, Tx, current driving opportunities are focused in the Colorado and Utah area. Candidates willing to relocate are strongly encouraged to apply.
Employment with Caron Transportation Systems USA is contingent upon the successful completion of pre-employment screenings, including drug and alcohol testing, motor vehicle record (MVR) review, and background checks. Candidates must meet all applicable safety and regulatory requirements to be considered for hire.
Job Duties:
- Deliver bulk commodities to customers.
- Complete pre-trip and post-trip inspection of truck and trailer.
- Loading and unloading of products.
- Utilize proper PPE for loading and offloading products.
- Ensure your assigned unit remains clean and tidy.
- Ensure that electronic logs align with federal regulations.
- Complete pre/post-trip forms and trip reports.
Our ideal candidate:
- Valid CDL Class A license with hazmat and tanker endorsements.
- 3 years of professional driving experience.
- Proven winter driving experience.
- Clean drivers abstract.
- Dry bulk transportation experience is considered an asset.
- Working geographic knowledge is considered an asset.
- Must comply with all DOT interstate regulations.
- Ability to drive long distances / OTR to various states.
- Willing to work on day and/or night shifts.
- Polite and professional attitude.
- High regard for safety.
- Reliable with a strong work ethic.
- Must be able to pass drug, MVR, and background screenings.
Pay, Benefits, and Perks:
- $32/hr base pay with the opportunity for job-based rate increases up to $36/hr. Non-billable rate is $28/hr.
