What are the responsibilities and job description for the Ultrasound Tech - Temporary Assignment position at CaroMont Health?
Job Summary: To perform various ultrasound procedures, including education and preparation of the patient and operation of ultrasound equipment. To perform general and vascular ultrasound procedures, as well as portable ultrasound exams in the operating room or special care areas within the hospital and at outpatient centers as needed.
Qualifications: Graduate of an accredited ultrasound technology program. Must be registered in either General or Vascular Ultrasound by ARDMS, or ARRT. On-going participation in continuing education. Considerable skill in performing various ultrasound studies, i.e., abdominal, OB, GYN and vascular preferred. Employee must possess the ability to accept new responsibilities as new equipment/examinations are introduced. ARDMS and/or RVT required with competency in general and vascular ultrasound exams. One (1) year of hospital ultrasound experience; One year traveler experience preferred. Cannot be a current FT/PT employee at CaroMont Health.
