Pulmonary & Sleep Medicine Physician with Sleep Lab Medical Directorship

CaroMont Health is seeking a Board Certified/Board Eligible Pulmonary & Sleep Medicine Physician to join our expanding team and serve as Medical Director for our Sleep Medicine Program and Sleep Lab. This position offers a balanced mix of clinical practice and leadership within a progressive, physician-led health system located minutes from Charlotte.
Position Overview
- Join a well-established group of 7 Pulmonologists and 7 Advanced Practice Providers
- Inpatient and outpatient pulmonary and sleep medicine practice
- 1:7 call with a schedule of 1 week inpatient / 3 weeks outpatient
- Advanced procedures: Navigational Bronchoscopy, EBUS, Zephyr Valve Placement, and Robotic-Assisted Bronchoscopy (coming soon)
- Hospital-attached Sleep Lab with strong APP support
- Collaborative environment with Cardiothoracic Surgery, Oncology, Cardiology, and Respiratory Therapy
- Opportunity to support Intensivist Program if desired
Medical Directorship Responsibilities
- Provide clinical leadership and oversight for the Sleep Medicine Program and Sleep Lab
- Ensure regulatory compliance (AASM, CMS, Joint Commission)
- Guide testing protocols, quality initiatives, and performance improvement
- Participate in medical staff committees and interdisciplinary collaboration
- Support program development, accreditation readiness, and provider education
- Up to 12 administrative hours per month
Qualifications
- Active NC medical license (or eligibility)
- ABMS Board Certification in Sleep Medicine
- Experience in medical leadership preferred
- Familiarity with AASM accreditation standards and quality improvement initiatives
