JOB SUMMARY: Under the direction of the Chief Academic Officer, this position serves as the Supervisor for all K-12 programs and responsibilities related to Math.
QUALIFICATIONS/ COMPETENCIES:
- A Master’s degree in appropriate field with an emphasis in Supervision, Education and/or Administration
- Eligibility for appropriate Maryland Certificate with Admin I
- A minimum of five (5) years of satisfactory experience in teaching, administration or supervision.
- Possess strong interpersonal, organizational and communication skills
- Demonstrated ability to complete tasks with minimal supervision.
- Demonstrated ability to create and conduct training.
- Must be pleasant and professional.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Coordinates, implements and provides direct leadership for curriculum development, textbook selection, program evaluation, and professional development in Math.
- Coordinates all county-wide Math curriculum, textbook selection, program evaluation, and professional development.
- Serves as a second observer for elementary and secondary teachers for the listed subject areas.
- Assist all administrators and teachers in the implementation of the Teacher Evaluation System (TES)
- Assists teachers and principals in the development and implementation of the Professional Growth Plan, SLO Plan and Professional improvement plans.
- Assumes other responsibilities as assigned by the Superintendent.
PAY & HOURS: This position is a 12 month position with Caroline County Board of Education, Administrators & Supervisors Salary Scale. Placement on the appropriate salary lane/step will be based on knowledge, experience, skills and abilities related to this position.
Salary : $108,096 - $153,290
