O/T Instructional Assistant (LMS)

JOB SUMMARY:

To assist the school staff in the development and implementation of a safe, comfortable, efficient, and motivating educational environment for kindergarten students. In this role, you will assist students with special needs during virtual speech/language therapy sessions, support classroom instruction, and provide administrative or logistical help to ensure the smooth delivery of special education services. Grant funded-up to 25 hours a week.

Qualifications & Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Basic proficiency in technology (e.g., navigating video conferencing tools, basic troubleshooting).
• Strong organizational and communication skills.

Performance Responsibilities:

• Facilitate and supervise virtual teletherapy sessions between students and speech-language pathologists
• Assist students with logging into online platforms and troubleshooting basic technology issues.
• Ensure a safe, productive, and focused environment during teletherapy sessions.
• Support students in accessing the general education curriculum by providing academic or behavioral assistance during instruction.
• Help implement accommodations and modifications as outlined in students’ IEPs.
• Provide individualized or small group support to students during instructional time or independent work.
• Follow all district policies and maintain confidentiality of student information.
• This temporary, part-time position has flexible scheduling based on school and student needs. The hours are up to 25 hours per week through the end of the school year.
• Depending on demand, you may be assigned to different locations or students throughout the district (elementary and/or secondary).

Salary: Based on experience and training according to the pay scale for Assistant I personnel. This position is a part-time 6.75 hours a day position with half-time benefits. Placement on the appropriate salary lane/step will be based on knowledge, experience, skills and training related to this position.
