Carolina Truck Freight LLC is a growing transportation and logistics company providing freight transportation, warehousing, regional distribution, cross-docking, and fulfillment services throughout the Southeast.

We are seeking a reliable, hardworking, and safety-conscious Loader to support daily warehouse operations, freight handling, and shipment preparation.

This position is ideal for someone who enjoys hands-on work, values teamwork, and takes pride in completing tasks safely and efficiently.

Position Overview

As a Loader, you will assist with loading and unloading trucks, organizing shipments, preparing outbound freight, and supporting warehouse and distribution operations.

You will work closely with drivers and warehouse personnel to ensure shipments are handled accurately, staged properly, and ready for transportation.

Previous experience is helpful but not required. Training will be provided.

Key Responsibilities

• Load and unload freight, pallets, packages, and materials from trucks and trailers.
• Sort, organize, and stage shipments according to destinations, routes, and schedules.
• Move freight between receiving, storage, staging, and shipping areas.
• Assist with cross-docking and transferring freight between inbound and outbound shipments.
• Verify shipment labels, quantities, and basic shipping documentation.
• Inspect freight for visible damage and report missing or incorrect shipments.
• Prepare, wrap, secure, and organize pallets for transportation.
• Position freight safely within trailers to maximize space and prevent damage.
• Operate pallet jacks, hand trucks, and other approved material-handling equipment.
• Coordinate with drivers and warehouse staff to support timely shipments.
• Maintain clean, organized, and safe loading docks and warehouse areas.
• Follow company safety procedures and proper freight-handling practices.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in loading, unloading, warehousing, shipping, or freight handling is preferred but not required.
• Strong work ethic, reliability, and punctuality.
• Ability to perform physically active work throughout the shift.
• Good attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
• Basic ability to read shipping labels and freight documentation.
• Good teamwork and communication skills.
• Commitment to workplace safety and responsible cargo handling.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to stand, walk, bend, reach, push, and pull throughout the workday.
• Ability to safely lift, carry, and move freight using appropriate assistance or equipment.
• Comfortable performing repetitive physical tasks in an active warehouse environment.
