CSF - School Academy Coach
As a CSF schools program coach, you will be responsible for the on-field coaching and instruction of young elementary school soccer players. You will implement pre-existing session plans while fostering a positive and inclusive learning environment. Your role will focus on teaching fundamental soccer skills, promoting sportsmanship, and helping young athletes develop a love for the game.
Key Responsibilities:
Coaching and Instruction: Deliver coaching sessions based on pre-established session plans, focusing on skill development, tactics, and age-appropriate soccer activities.
Provide clear and constructive feedback to players to help them improve their performance.
Player Development: Create a supportive and encouraging atmosphere that promotes player growth, self-confidence, and a love for soccer.
Help players set and achieve individual goals for skill improvement.
Safety and Well-being: Ensure the safety and well-being of all players during training sessions, including proper warm-ups, hydration, and injury prevention measures.
Be prepared to administer basic first aid if necessary and have a plan for emergencies.
Communication: Foster a respectful and inclusive environment for all participants.
Equipment and Field Management: Ensure all necessary equipment, such as balls, cones, and first aid supplies, is available and properly maintained.
Assist with field setup and maintenance for practices and games.
Record Keeping: Maintain records of player attendance
Qualifications:
- Previous coaching experience in youth soccer is preferred.
- Knowledge of fundamental soccer skills and strategies.
- First aid and CPR certification is a plus.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Patience and enthusiasm for working with elementary school-aged children.
Working Conditions:
- This is a position typically aligned with the school year.
- Work will take place in the afternoons in between 2pm-5pm, Monday-Friday
- Work primarily takes place outdoors on soccer fields.
