Duties
- Greet guests warmly upon arrival and assist with seating arrangements, ensuring a smooth and welcoming experience
- Take accurate food and beverage orders using Shift 4 POS system and communicate effectively with kitchen staff
- Provide detailed menu descriptions, recommend specials, and upsell items to enhance guest satisfaction and increase sales opportunities
- Serve food and drinks promptly while maintaining high standards of presentation and cleanliness
- Monitor guest needs throughout their visit, respond promptly to requests, and ensure a high level of customer service at all times
- Handle cash transactions accurately through POS ; process payments efficiently while maintaining proper cash handling procedures
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards by bussing tables, resetting dining areas, and adhering to food safety protocols including sanitation and food handling regulations
- Assist with food preparation (prepare house made sauces/dressing, salads when ordered) and provide kitchen support as needed in a fast-paced environment.
- Support guest relations by addressing concerns professionally and ensuring every guest leaves satisfied
Experience
- Previous restaurant experience is highly preferred
- Strong knowledge of food service operations including serving techniques, food safety practices, and sanitation standards
- Familiarity with POS systems such as Shift 4 is a plus
- Demonstrated ability in upselling menu items to maximize sales while providing excellent guest service
- Excellent time management skills to handle multiple tables efficiently during busy hours
- Background in food industry roles such as host/hostess, bussing, or food preparation enhances your ability to succeed in this position
- Basic math skills for cash handling and order calculations are essential
