Sign Installer (Commercial Signage)

Salary: $20.00 – $35.00 per hour
Job Type: Full-time
Schedule: Monday–Thursday, 7:30 AM – 6:00 PM (4-day workweek)
Carolina Sign Co. is hiring an experienced Sign Installer. The person will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, and removal of indoor and outdoor signage. This role is ideal for a dependable installer with experience working at heights, basic electrical knowledge, and the ability to work independently or with a helper.
Key Responsibilities:
- Install and remove various types of signage, including monument signs, channel letters, vinyl graphics, and panel signs
- Read and follow installation drawings and work orders
- Operate bucket trucks, lifts, ladders, and hand/power tools safely
- Perform basic electrical connections for illuminated signs
- Load, transport, and unload signage materials and equipment
- Ensure installations meet safety and quality standards
- Maintain clean and organized job sites
- Troubleshoot and repair existing signage when needed
- Work independently or with a helper (‘ground guy’) on job sites
- Communicate professionally with customers on job sites
- Assist with light sign manufacturing and fabrication in the shop
- Follow safety procedures and job site requirements
Qualifications & Skills:
- Experience in sign installation, construction, or related field preferred
- Ability to work at heights and outdoors in varying weather conditions
- Basic electrical knowledge is a plus
- Ability to lift heavy materials (50 lbs)
- Valid driver’s license
- Strong attention to detail and safety awareness
- Ability to problem-solve in the field
