Dental Assistant I (DAI) / Sterilization Technician, Oral Surgery

About the Position

Our established oral and maxillofacial surgery practice in Fayetteville, NC, is seeking a dependable, detail-oriented Dental Assistant I (DAI) or Sterilization Technician to join our clinical team.

We are looking for someone who takes pride in maintaining a clean, organized, and efficient surgical environment. The ideal candidate is reliable, works well with others, and understands the importance of patient safety and infection control.

Key Responsibilities

• Clean, disinfect, sterilize, and organize surgical instruments and equipment.
• Prepare surgical trays and maintain sterile supplies for oral surgery procedures.
• Set up and turn over surgical operatories between patients.
• Follow OSHA, CDC, and established infection control protocols.
• Monitor sterilization equipment and maintain accurate sterilization records.
• Manage instrument inventory and restock clinical supplies.
• Support the surgical team with patient preparation and chairside duties as permitted by training and qualifications.
• Help maintain an organized and efficient clinical workflow.

Qualifications

• Previous dental, oral surgery, or medical sterilization experience preferred.
• Familiarity with autoclaves, surgical instruments, and infection control procedures is a plus.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Ability to multitask in a fast-paced clinical environment.
• Dependable, punctual, and comfortable working as part of a team.
• Willingness to learn and follow established clinical protocols.

Pay: $16.00 - $23.00 per hour
