What are the responsibilities and job description for the Experienced Automotive Full Line Technician/Mechanic position at Carolina Nissan?
We have an influx of work and are looking for an A level Technician. This technician will be experienced in maintenance, diagnosing, and repair of most domestic and import vehicles that come through the shop. The ideal candidate will be punctual, self-driven, and involved.
Responsibilities
-Performs thorough, accurate Preventative Maintenance inspections.
-Inspect vehicle engine and mechanical/electrical components to diagnose issues
accurately
-Inspect vehicle computer and electronic systems to repair, maintain and upgrade
-Performs complex operations including engine, electrical, fuel, brake, and exhaust
repairs and field tests. This requires interpreting and working from drawings,
specifications and other technical materials.
-Must be able to operate bench grinder, torch, drill press, Jack and Jack stands,
sawzall, oil pumps, power washer, parts cleaner and other hand tools required to
perform work.
-Provide accurate estimates (cost, time, effort) for a repair or maintenance job
-Keep accurate logs on work and issues
-Maintains tools and work places so that conditions are neat and orderly.
Skills
-Proven experience as auto mechanic
-Knowledge of tools, procedures, technical skills and safety rules used in the
maintenance and repair of gasoline, diesel, and alternative powered equipment.
-Working knowledge of vehicle diagnostic systems and methods
-Written and verbal communication skills, and customer service skills are essential. -----Ability to deal with problems and find solutions.
-High school diploma is preferred; Certification from a vocational school or completion
of apprenticeship is preferred
-Valid certification (e.g ASE) is a definite plus
Qualifications
-Certifications from an accredited technical school (Preferred)
-Verifiable work experience in the Diesel/Automotive trade (Required)
-Current Drivers License (Required)
-NC State inspection license (Preferred)

Pay: $40,000.00 - $100,000.00 per year
