Role Description The Media Marketing Consultant is a full-time, hybrid role based in the Wilmington, NC area. This role focuses on developing and executing marketing strategies that promote the company’s magazines and advertising offerings, including identifying prospective clients and building long-term relationships with local businesses. Day-to-day responsibilities include planning and presenting advertising solutions, managing sales pipelines, coordinating digital and print campaigns, and tracking campaign performance. The consultant will collaborate with editorial and design teams to align media packages with content strategy and ensure consistent branding across platforms. This role involves community outreach, and participation in local events to grow market presence.
Qualifications
- Strong marketing and sales skills, with demonstrated ability to develop client relationships and meet revenue goals.
- Experience with digital marketing and new media platforms, including social media, online advertising, geofencing, programmatic advertising and other various digital and audience engagement tools.
- Knowledge of content strategy and its application to integrated print and digital campaigns.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills, with a customer-focused approach.
- Ability to work in the field manage multiple projects, and collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
- Familiarity with publishing, media, or local advertising markets is preferred.
- Proficiency with basic office and CRM software; valid driver’s license for local client visits.
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, or a related field, or equivalent relevant experience.
