Carolina Lift Stations is a rapidly growing service provider for pump stations and water/wastewater equipment across North and South Carolina. We specialize in installation, maintenance, low-pressure system repair, gravity sewer system repair, weekly inspections, annual preventive and reliability maintenance, and emergency services. As we continue to expand, we’re looking to build our field team with motivated individuals who want to grow alongside us.
About the Role
The Utility Pump Maintenance Technician position is the first step toward a rewarding career in the water/wastewater industry. In this role, you will learn and assist with maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs on equipment found in:
- Water and sewage pump stations
- Well pump systems
- Water/wastewater treatment plants
You’ll gain hands-on experience with pumps of all sizes, valves, compressors, electrical controls, piping systems, chemical feed equipment, and associated structures. Our experienced field technicians will provide training, mentorship, and cross-training opportunities to help you build your skills in every aspect of the trade.
As part of your training, you’ll learn how to:
- Perform tests to determine equipment efficiency
- Document readings and prepare detailed reports
- Troubleshoot systems and analyze results
- Work safely and efficiently as part of a professional team
Travel & Scheduling
- Travel required at least one week per month (Monday–Friday), with additional travel possible depending on workload
- No out-of-town work on weekends
- Half-day Fridays based on workload
- On-call rotation added as skills develop

Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Clean driving record
- Must live within 50 miles of York, SC
- Septic service experience preferred
- CDL preferred
