Your Mission: What You Will Accomplish
You will command two critical functions that are essential to the firm's success:
The Legal Support Command Center:
- Orchestrate Complex Legal Calendars: Masterfully manage calendars for partners and attorneys, scheduling court dates, depositions, client meetings, and tracking non-negotiable filing deadlines with precision.
- Prepare and Polish Legal Documents: Draft, proofread, and format legal correspondence, client engagement letters, and materials for case strategy meetings.
- Drive Case and Client Progress: Coordinate and support partner meetings, case reviews, and client consultations, capturing detailed notes and tracking action items to ensure forward momentum.
- Uphold Unshakable Confidentiality: Handle sensitive client files, case documents, and privileged communications with the utmost discretion and integrity.
The Firm’s Technology & IT Bridge:
- Serve as the Go-To Tech Liaison: Act as the first point of contact for the legal team, translating their tech challenges into clear tickets for IT support and ensuring systems are always operational.
- Champion Timely Resolutions: Diligently track and escalate all IT requests, from e-discovery software issues to billing system glitches, ensuring swift resolutions that minimize downtime.
- Manage Critical Tech Resources: Oversee the firm’s IT inventory, manage user accounts for legal software, and coordinate hardware and software needs for new and existing personnel.
- Streamline Firm-Wide Tech Processes: Identify recurring technical issues and proactively suggest improvements or training on legal-specific software to enhance the firm's efficiency.
Your Credentials for Success as an Executive Legal Assistant and IT Liaison:
- 3 years of proven experience in high-level administrative support, preferably within a law firm or professional services environment.
- Strong technical literacy with hands-on experience in office platforms (Microsoft 365, Google Workspace) and a capacity to quickly learn legal-specific software (case management, billing, etc.).
- Exceptional communication skills, with the ability to interact professionally with clients, attorneys, and IT vendors.
