Position Summary
Carolina Kidney Care is seeking a professional, friendly, and dependable Front Desk / Patient Services Representative to join our Fayetteville office. The Front Desk Representative plays an important role in creating a positive patient experience while supporting the daily operations of our medical office.
The ideal candidate will be organized, professional, compassionate, and comfortable working in a fast-paced medical environment. Strong communication and customer service skills are essential.
Schedule
- Monday – Thursday: 8:20 AM – 5:00 PM
- Friday: 8:20 AM – 1:00 PM
- Full-Time
Key Responsibilities
- Greet patients and provide professional, friendly customer service
- Check patients in and out for appointments
- Verify and update patient demographic and insurance information
- Schedule, reschedule, and confirm patient appointments
- Answer and route incoming telephone calls appropriately
- Respond to patient questions and direct them to the appropriate department or staff member
- Collect copayments, balances, and other patient payments
- Provide patients with appointment information and necessary paperwork
- Review and maintain accurate patient information in the electronic medical record
- Assist with referrals, authorizations, and other front-office duties as needed
- Maintain patient confidentiality and comply with HIPAA requirements
- Communicate effectively with physicians, nurses, medical assistants, and other staff
- Maintain an organized and welcoming front-desk area
- Perform other administrative duties as assigned
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Previous medical office or healthcare experience preferred
- EPIC experience is a plus
- Excellent customer service and communication skills
- Professional and courteous demeanor
- Strong organizational and multitasking abilities
- Attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team
- Ability to handle confidential patient information appropriately
- Comfortable working in a busy medical office environmen
