Job Summary:
The QA Compliance Coordinator supports the Quality Assurance department by maintaining regulatory and quality documentation to ensure compliance with company policies, customer requirements, and applicable food safety regulations.
This role works closely with the Document Control, Regulatory, Purchasing, Customer Service, and Production teams to manage ingredient approvals, maintain Certificates of Analysis (COAs), respond to customer documentation requests, and ensure finished products meet regulatory and food safety standards.
Job Duties:
Duties may include, but are not limited to the following:
Regulatory & Documentation Management
- Maintain and update finished product Certificates of Analysis (COAs) to ensure accuracy and regulatory compliance.
- Oversee regulatory documentation for all finished blends, including COAs, microbiological submissions, and related quality documentation.
- Research, interpret, and apply food safety regulations and industry standards to support compliance activities.
- Review and file daily production documentation to ensure completeness and compliance with internal procedures.
SAP Quality Controls
- Remove finished blends from quality hold in SAP when appropriate approvals are completed.
- Place finished blends and raw materials on hold in SAP when quality or regulatory concerns arise.
- Complete approval transactions in SAP for all raw ingredients
Quality Assurance Support
- Conduct incoming ingredient sampling as required by quality procedures.
- Verify product labels prior to production to ensure regulatory and specification compliance.
- Provide backup support for Sodium Nitrite and Heavy Metal testing when necessary.
- Assist with customer complaint investigations and documentation.
- Support 30/60/90-day product review processes.
Cross-Department Collaboration
- Manage customer service documentation requests related to quality and regulatory compliance.
- Work collaboratively with the QA Supervisor and QA Technicians to provide coverage during vacations, absences, or high workload periods.
- Support compliance activities related to ingredient approvals and finished product documentation updates.
Minimum Qualifications:
· Associates degree in Regulatory, Food Science, Nutrition, or related discipline.
· 2-5 years related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience in food regulatory affairs.
· Experience with standard windows software.
· Experience with either SAP or similar systems preferred
· Basic knowledge of FDA, USDA, FSMA, and HACCP, and SQF requirements
· Basic knowledge of SQF Edition 9 preferred
· Knowledge of Trace Gains and Reposi Trak is a plus
· Knowledge of certification programs such as Organic, Non-GMO, Kosher, and Halal preferred

Pay: $22.00 - $24.00 per hour
