Registered Nurse: Nuclear Stress

REGISTERED NURSE needed for our cardiology department to work in the NUCLEAR MEDICINE STRESS LAB. Must have excellent computer and customer service skills.  Hours are Monday through Thursday 7:45 am - 5:15 pm and Fridays 8:00 am - 12:00 pm.  No nights or weekends!  Excellent pay and benefits including paid holidays, PTO and sick time, medical, dental, vision, short-term disability, company paid life insurance, pre-paid legal, identity theft, and 401k offered.

Responsibilities and Duties Include:

• will continuously monitor patient during stress test
• will perform various cardiology related tasks and assist providers as needed
• will review patient cases, return patient calls, scheduling, and stock exam rooms
• must have the ability to communicate and work harmoniously with patients, physicians, and other staff members both within the practice and with other facilities
• must have the ability to analyze medical data, set priorities, develop simple solutions to complex problems, and work calmly and effectively in stressful situations
• must be knowledgeable in medical procedures with ability to read, interpret and discuss medical reports and tests with the physician, and must have knowledge of Medicare, Medicaid and third-party payers and guidelines
• will perform insurance benefits investigations and will obtain prior authorizations
• Providing professional nursing care to clinic patients including but not limited to assessing patient’s condition, taking vital signs and weight, documenting activities and patient/family responses, medications, updating medical record, injections, etc.  
• Completing all tasks for preparing patients for stress tests and continuously monitoring patients during the stress tests. 
• Performing various cardiology related tasks and assisting providers as needed. 
• Assisting physicians with examinations, diagnostic procedures and treatments, reviewing patient cases, returning patient calls, scheduling, and stocking exam rooms.  
• Must have the ability to communicate and work harmoniously with patients, physicians, and other staff members both within the practice and with other facilities.  
• Must have the ability to analyze medical data, set priorities, develop simple solutions to complex problems, and work calmly and effectively in stressful situations.  
• Must be knowledgeable in medical procedures with ability to read, interpret and discuss medical reports and tests with the physician,
• Must have knowledge of Medicare, Medicaid and third-party payers and guidelines.  
• Must be proficient in venipuncture techniques and laboratory procedures pertinent to physician's office is required.
