CERTIFIED MEDICAL ASSISTANT-NUCLEAR MEDICINE needed for busy NUCLEAR MEDICINE practice in Myrtle Beach. Background in NUCLEAR MEDICINE required. Must have excellent computer and customer service skills. Hours are Monday through Thursday 7:45 am - 5:15 pm and Fridays 8:00 am - 12:00 pm. No nights or weekends! Responsibilities and Duties Include:
- will continuously monitor patient during stress test
- will perform various cardiology related tasks and assist providers as needed
- will review patient cases, return patient calls, scheduling, and stock exam rooms
- must have the ability to communicate and work harmoniously with patients, physicians, and other staff members both within the practice and with other facilities
- must have the ability to analyze medical data, set priorities, develop simple solutions to complex problems, and work calmly and effectively in stressful situations
- must be knowledgeable in medical procedures with ability to read, interpret and discuss medical reports and tests with the physician, and must have knowledge of Medicare, Medicaid and third-party payers and guidelines
- will perform insurance benefits investigations and will obtain prior authorizations
- Providing professional nursing care to clinic patients including but not limited to assessing patient’s condition, taking vital signs and weight, documenting activities and patient/family responses, medications, updating medical record, injections, etc.
- Completing all tasks for preparing patients for stress tests and continuously monitoring patients during the stress tests.
- Performing various cardiology related tasks and assisting providers as needed.
- Assisting physicians with examinations, diagnostic procedures and treatments, reviewing patient cases, returning patient calls, scheduling, and stocking exam rooms.
- Must have the ability to communicate and work harmoniously with patients, physicians, and other staff members both within the practice and with other facilities.
- Must have the ability to analyze medical data, set priorities, develop simple solutions to complex problems, and work calmly and effectively in stressful situations.
- Must be knowledgeable in medical procedures with ability to read, interpret and discuss medical reports and tests with the physician,
- Must have knowledge of Medicare, Medicaid and third-party payers and guidelines.
- Must be proficient in venipuncture techniques and laboratory procedures pertinent to physician's office is required.
Cardiology experience preferred
