Qualifications

This position is primarily a driver position with other duties secondary. We need a full time person eager to work at our Greensboro warehouse. We deliver mostly within a 2 hour radius of our warehouse location.

The position requires good customer service skills, fluent in English. Speaking some Spanish is preferred (not required), a knowledge of welding or an interest in learning to weld is preferred (not required).

We sell and distribute commercial doors and hardware. You must be able to lift 120 /- lbs and drive a large delivery truck.

Duties

• Safely operate warehouse equipment including reach trucks, forklifts, pallet jacks, and transport materials
• Manage inventory control through accurate stock counting, order picking, packing, shipping, and receiving
• Ensure proper handling of materials with manual handling techniques and heavy lifting (Must be capable of lifting 120 - lbs) while adhering to safety regulations
• Maintain organized storage by stocking shelves efficiently and ensuring materials are stored safely
• Prepare orders for shipment by picking, packing, labeling, and verifying items being packed by confirming detailed work orders. Attention to detail is a must
• Load and unload delivery vehicles efficiently while following safety protocols to prevent accidents or damage. You will be the single delivery driver on most deliveries. Most of the time there will be someone at the delivery location to assist. We do notify customers in advance that we have one driver and one truck and when we will be there so there are no surprises.
• Conduct regular safety checks on material handling equipment operation tools to ensure optimal performanceQualifications
• Proven warehouse experience with familiarity in warehouse distribution
• Experience operating heavy equipment such as pallet jacks, forklifts. Forklift certification preferred, but, not required.
• Basic understanding of inventory control
• Ability to perform manual handling tasks including heavy lifting while maintaining safety standards
• This particular position REQUIRES a clean driving record and the ability to drive a standard pickup and a Ford F550. This does not require a CDL. The truck is an automatic and has an 8' x 14' bed and you must feel comfortable with the truck and have past experience in driving and handling large trucks to make deliveries
• Basic math skills for inventory counts and order accuracy
• Experience in shipping & receiving processes along with order fulfillment procedures
