Carolina Dermatology is a large, physician-owned practice serving the Greenville Area. As our practice continues to grow, we are seeking medical assistants to support our physicians. The ideal candidate must be kind and empathic with a strong work ethic, possess a positive attitude and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Obtaining medical history, chief complaint, and documenting visit information into the EMR
- Cleaning, stocking, and setting up exam rooms for the physicians
- Assisting physicians as needed during the examination
- Documenting visit information/scribing
- Administrative tasks such as submitting and following up on insurance preauthorizations and answering patient questions
- Completing pathology requisitions and following up on results
Requirements:
- Medical assistant certification
- Excellent communications skills with colleagues and patients
- Ability to adapt to change in an evolving practice
- Proficiency in EHR systems
- Ability to assist in outpatient clinical procedures and minor surgeries
- High degree of comfort with computers; typing proficiency
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $19.00 - $24.00 per hour
