Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated Warehouse Assistant to join our dynamic logistics team. Duties
- Support shipping and receiving activities by loading and unloading goods while adhering to safety protocols.
- Manage materials handling tasks, including heavy lifting and proper stacking of inventory on pallets or shelves. Must be able to lift 50 pounds*
- Maintain warehouse organization by ensuring proper storage of materials and keeping the workspace clean and safe.
- Utilize warehouse management systems to track inventory levels, update stock records, and facilitate order processing.
- Collaborate with warehouse supervisors to coordinate daily operations and improve workflow efficiency.
Requirements
- Proven experience in warehouse distribution, shipping & receiving, or related roles within a construction or industrial environment.
- Familiarity with warehouse equipment operation including forklift, crane, clamp truck, pallet jack, and heavy lifting techniques.
- Knowledge of OSHA safety standards and mechanical principles related to heavy equipment operation.
- Proficiency with RF scanners and warehouse management systems for inventory control.
- Strong understanding of materials handling procedures and logistics processes.
- Previous experience in warehouse supervision or management is advantageous.
- Ability to perform physically demanding tasks consistently while maintaining safety standards.
- Basic mechanical knowledge is preferred to troubleshoot equipment issues when necessary.
