Heavy Equipment Operator

We are seeking a skilled Heavy Equipment Operator to join our construction team. The ideal candidate will be experienced in operating a variety of heavy machinery to support grading, excavation, roadwork, site preparation, and other construction activities. This role plays a key part in maintaining productivity, job site safety, and quality workmanship.

Key Responsibilities

• Operate heavy construction equipment such as excavators, bulldozers, graders, backhoes, loaders, and skid steers.
• Perform site preparation including digging, grading, trenching, backfilling, and material movement.
• Conduct daily pre-operation inspections and perform basic maintenance on equipment.
• Work closely with site supervisors and other crew members to complete projects efficiently and safely.
• Identify and report mechanical problems or safety hazards immediately.
• Follow company, OSHA, and job site safety policies at all times.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 1-2 years of experience operating heavy equipment in a construction environment.
• Knowledge of grades, and construction materials.
• Strong understanding of job site safety and equipment operation procedures.
• Ability to work independently or as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
• Must be reliable, punctual, and safety-oriented.

Working Conditions

• Outdoor construction sites with exposure to dirt, noise, vibration, and weather conditions.
• Use of personal protective equipment (PPE) required.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and perform physically demanding tasks.
• Ability to sit, stand, climb, and operate equipment for long periods.
• Good vision, depth perception, and manual dexterity.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $18.00 - $24.00 per hour
