Have a knack for sales? Fashion? Experience is helpful but we are willing to train the right person. A career in optical can lead to state licensing and national certification. You get to explain the benefits of eyewear products, fit and style eyewear, as well as track order fulfillment, dispense, adjust, and repair eyewear in a professional setting.
We are looking for a friendly, full-time Optical technician/frame stylist for a wonderful, private optometric practice located in Advance, North Carolina.
* Motivated, professional, responsible, organized, detail-oriented, multi-tasker
* Knowledgeable of eyewear, and lens options
* Good communication skills with a friendly personality.
* Experience with various insurance and vision plans
* Experience in interfacing with lens labs, frames ordering, inventory, etc.
* Basic computer skills such as data entry, MS Office, etc.
Responsibilities will include
* Helping patients select eyeglasses given knowledge of their insurance coverage
* Taking accurate frame and lens measurements
* Ordering the selected glasses and contacts
* Dispensing and adjusting eyewear
* Insurance and Benefit explanation
* Creating an exceptional customer experience
* Assisting the optometrist as needed
Our Office is open Monday-Friday. We are conveniently located in safe, clean, professional facilities. Salary is competitive and commensurate with experience. Benefits include holiday pay, paid time off, bonus pay, and employee discount on materials.
