IT Support Specialist
POSITION SUMMARY
Oversee IT systems and assets with upgrades and fixes, while providing training and support as needed.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Maintain essential IT operations, including operating systems, security tools, applications, servers, email systems, laptops, desktops, software, and hardware.
- Handle business-critical IT tasks and system improvements.
- Enable faster and more innovative business processes and employee productivity.
- Research and evaluate emerging technologies, hardware, and software.
- Serve as the subject-matter expert supporting Windows, and widely used software and applications, such as Microsoft, Adobe, and Allen-Bradley.
- Install, configure, and support workstation software, hardware, printers, and phones.
- Analyze staff needs, identify vulnerabilities, and boost efficiency and accuracy.
- Execute systems and network design, documentation, implementation, testing, and administration, and ensure components meet business needs and work together seamlessly.
- Implement applications and software upgrades and troubleshoot any performance issues.
- Train employees in using software and hardware, and provide technical support when needed.
- Performs additional duties as required.
REQUIREMENTS
- Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in IT
- Deep knowledge of operating systems, current equipment and technologies, enterprise backup and recovery procedures, and system performance monitoring tools
- Project management experience
- Professional certifications
- Demonstrated competence in Microsoft Office

- Maintain a high level of professionalism and ability to maintain integrity and confidentiality.

- Vision requirements to do this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
- Travel is required to job sites, regional offices, and/or professional and community organization events.
