Position Summary
The Regional Leader is responsible for leading and developing a team of 6-8 Territory Managers and Account Representatives to achieve revenue growth, client retention, and customer satisfaction goals within their assigned region. This role requires a balance of strategic leadership, hands-on sales management, and cross-functional collaboration. The Regional Leader works closely with peers in other regions and aligns execution with the overall business development strategy set by the Business Development Leader and the CBG Leadership Team.
Key Responsibilities
Leadership & Team Management
- Lead, coach, and develop a regional team of Territory Managers and Account Representatives to meet or exceed sales and client retention targets.
- Establish clear performance goals, provide regular feedback, and conduct ongoing training to enhance team effectiveness.
- Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
- Lead a weekly Level 10 meeting with direct reports to address issues, communicate key company initiatives, and ensure alignment with company objectives.
Sales Strategy & Execution
- Translate the overall business development strategy into actionable regional sales plans and initiatives.
- Identify and pursue growth opportunities within existing accounts
- Identify potential new market splits based on market saturation.
- Monitor regional sales performance, analyze trends, and implement data-driven actions to optimize results.
Collaboration & Communication
- Work collaboratively with other Regional Leaders to share best practices, align customer approaches, and ensure consistency across regions.
- Partner with Marketing and Operations teams to support go-to-market activities, customer onboarding, and service delivery.
- Report regional performance metrics, forecasts, and market insights to the Business Development Leader.
Client Relationship Management
- Maintain strong relationships with key regional clients and strategic partners.
- Support the Territory Managers and Account Representatives in resolving escalations and ensuring exceptional customer experience.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or related field preferred
- 7 years of progressive experience in sales, business development, or account management, including at least 3 years in a leadership role.
- proven ability to lead and motivate teams to achieve ambitious sales targets.
- Strong analytical, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Experience managing cross-functional relationships.
- Proficiency in data-driven sales management.
