Our Opportunity: Blending Compliance Supervisor
Status: Full Time Day Shift
Schedule: Monday - Friday
The Blending Compliance Supervisor will be responsible for providing continuous improvement and process support for Blending & related departments. This entails, but is not limited to: leadership, process execution support, process optimization and improvements, improving efficiencies, and ensuring compliance with quality systems, as well as customer and regulatory requirements. This role reports to the Blending Operations Manager, has direct reports, and is exempt.
Production Support:
- Monitors department process efficiencies and makes recommendations to Blending Manager if processes require adjustments. Analyzes process data to troubleshoot issues and improve the department’s performance.
- Creates spreadsheets for data management and recordkeeping.
- Provides technical support and troubleshooting.
- Maintains process accuracy of IPC’s (in process checklists) for Blend Technicians.
- Develops and maintains systems for inventory of equipment & consumables for department.
- Creates Purchase Orders and completes associated orders.
- Develops and maintains systems to schedule & track calibration and service to equipment/instrumentation both internally and by outside vendors (scales, flow meters, probes, etc.)
- Performs inventory transactions to receive and consume ingredients in the system using Data Collection & SAP
- Develops and maintains systems to schedule, track, and supply CIP rinse water micro samples & bulk ingredient delivery (sugar) micro samples.
Customer Reporting and Information Support:
- Attends departmental, cross-departmental, and external meetings. Compiles & distributes meeting summaries and action items digitally as required.
- Reviews ingredient delivery documentation for compliance and takes appropriate action for exceptions.
- Maintains and organizes appropriate documentation in ETQ.
- Reviews and approves blending production documentation prior to submission to customers & filing. This includes, but is not limited to: batch sheets, equipment sanitation reports, mixing instructions, pre-batch checklists, shift change forms, inventory reports, and production advice reports.
- Interprets new product formula recipes and facilitates the assimilation of customer-formatted recipes into CBG NC’s ERP system and prepares for submission to customers for review/approval.
Safety & Compliance:
- Conducts safety and process compliance audits.
Continuous Improvement:
- Identifies complex problems with root cause analysis and recommends/facilitates the implementation of solutions.
- Systematically evaluates, analyzes, identifies, and documents process failures and problems regarding manufacturing processes/equipment. Reports all documented failures to the Blending Manager and creates possible solutions.
- Creates and implements recommendations to prevent recurrence to reduce downtime and waste.
- Reviews, interprets, and maintains KPI’s for various aspects of the blending department.
- Applies process improvement tools and principles such as Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma
- Leads continuous improvement projects to reduce cost, improve first time right, integrate new products/processes into production and reduce variation.
- Supports process changes, design changes, and Kaizen improvement activities.
Training:
- Provides support for new products, improvements, and process control.
- Utilizes Alchemy software to administrate job training for the Blending department.
- Implements necessary changes and updates all documentation
- Writes clear and accurate equipment/process procedures and accompanying training media for employees.
- Other duties may be assigned
Position Requirements:
- High school diploma or GED
- Bachelor’s degree in a technical field is preferred. In lieu of a degree, a minimum of 5 years of experience in a high-speed, high-volume manufacturing environment will be considered.
- Minimum of 2 years’ experience in similar role(s)
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Outlook, Word, Windows, and Teams
- SAP experience preferred but not required.
- Works well in a highly collaborative fast-paced environment with cross-functional teams.

- Detail oriented and thorough when completing work tasks.
