Our Opportunity: Lead Ingredient Control Technician
Status: Full Time Day Shift
Hours: 12-hour shift - 7a-7p
Schedule: 2-2-3 rotating shifts (work 15 days a month!)
Summary
The Lead Ingredient Control Technician assists the Ingredient Control Supervisor in leading daily operations at both the main facility and Ingredient Control warehouse. Review production schedules and plan kit making operations sufficiently in advance of need.
What You Will Be Doing
- Promote a safe, positive, productive work environment. Report safety concerns to Supervisor.
- Discusses weekly and monthly safety goals with team members.
- Using a forklift: Loads outbound stock transfer orders. Unloads inbound ingredient deliveries.
- Systematically receive ingredient deliveries into inventory via SAP Data Collection program.
- Lead & perform inventory cycle counts on a recurring basis & at the request of Supervisor or Coordinator.
- Ensure that the Master Sanitation tasks are being completed and documented at their required frequencies.
- Ensure completion of wash ticket sanitation records for liquid ingredient repackaging equipment.
- Maintain up to date Excel sheets for departmental metrics (deliveries, rate of partial packing, etc.).
- Engage in continuous improvement of departmental processes.
- Enforce procedures regarding Good Manufacturing Practices to ensure sanitary production & highest level of quality according to customer specifications. Maintain adherence to standards set forth by FSMA.
- Assume shared responsibility for all ingredients in all CBG-NC locations.
- Coordinates and leads the efficient arrangement of kits to maintain uninterrupted & timely delivery of ingredient kits to Blending team. Facilitates communication between main facility and warehouse.
- Verifies that all kits are fully and accurately systematically allocated after being verified physically accurate.
- Ensure adherence to First to Expire, First Out principle (F.E.F.O.).
- Maintain organized digital storage system for ingredient documentation.
- Work with, communicate, and accompany customers, suppliers, and auditors in a professional manner.
- Learn critical duties of the Ingredient Control Supervisor position and sustain normal operations in event of the Supervisor’s absence.
- Assist Ingredient Control Coordinator with delivery and inventory tasks.
- Communicate shift report progress, issues, delivery inbound/outbounds, and schedule accommodation status
- Other duties may be assigned

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
- To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
- Math, Reasoning & Computer/Modern Technology skills.
- Occasionally lift up to 100 pounds, readily 50 pounds.
- Forklift experience required for this position. Internal training/certification provided upon hire.
Education & Experience
- High School Diploma is required; Associate degree or equivalent from two-year college or technical school is preferred; 1 to 2 years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education or experience.
