Part-Time Floater (2:00-5:45 pm)

Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and energetic Part-Time Toddler Closer to join our vibrant early childhood education team. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring a safe, nurturing, and engaging environment for pre-toddlers and toddlers during the closing hours of our daycare center. Your enthusiasm and attention to detail will help create a positive end-of-day experience for children, parents, and staff alike. This position offers an excellent opportunity to make a meaningful impact on young children's development while working in a supportive and dynamic setting. Must be able to work from 2:00 or 3:00 to 5:45 pm/close.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and care for toddlers during the closing shift, ensuring their safety and well-being at all times
• Facilitate age-appropriate activities that promote social, emotional, and developmental growth
• Communicate effectively with parents regarding their child's day, progress, and any concerns
• Maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming classroom environment in accordance with health and safety standards
• Follow all mandated reporting laws and health protocols, including pediatric first aid and CPR procedures when necessary
• Manage classroom routines such as diapering, feeding, and nap times with patience and professionalism
• Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth transition at the end of each day and prepare for the next day's activities

Qualifications

• Prior experience working with young children in daycare, preschool, or early childhood education settings
• Knowledge of childhood development principles and behavior management techniques
• Certification in first aid, CPR, and pediatric first aid preferred; willingness to obtain if not already certified
• Familiarity with mandated reporting laws related to child safety and abuse prevention
• Strong communication skills to effectively interact with children, parents, and team members
• Classroom management experience with toddlers or preschoolers is highly desirable
• Passion for nurturing children's growth through engaging activities and attentive supervision
