What are the responsibilities and job description for the Automotive Pre-Trip Inspector position at Carolina Auto Auction?
Carolina Auto Auction is a family owned and operated business in Williamston, SC. We have been serving the automobile dealers and finance companies since 1969 and in SC since 1989. We believe in providing a superior customer experience for everyone that walks through our doors. We are one of the largest independent auction in the Southeast United States. Most auto auction are similar but at Carolina Auto Auction we believe that our team of talented individuals is what sets us apart in our industry.
We are looking for a detail orientated individual to come on to our team. This person is responsible for the safety and inspection of our fleet lease inventory. Must be able to work in the elements, pay close attention to detail, and have some vehicle knowledge. You will pre-inspect vehicles prior to our test drive team taking the unit for a test drive. You will also check all fluid levels and look at the overall safety of the unit prior to the inspection drive taking place.
Job Duties include but are not limited to:
- Check and replenish fluid levels
- Battery Jump
- Use scan tool to check warning lights
- Check tire pressure and fill if necessary
- Communication
Applicant must possess the following:
- Valid Driver's License
- Clean 3-year driving record
- Ability to work with little supervision
- Must be able to identify safety concerns
- Able to work in the elements

Shifts available 4-10 hour days-Mon-Thurs 7-6pm and Tues-Fri 7-6pm/ Mon-Fri 8-5pm
