Description - This is a management role - Onsite 5 days per week5 years construction accounting experience is required - roofing is a plusManage all Accounting functions including AR, AP, Payroll roles. The Accounting Manager is responsible for other accounting responsibilities as assigned by the Controller and/or President. Job Functions: Plan, organize, and establish objectives and goals for duties assigned.Work with payroll to make sure proper funds are accrued for weekly/biweekly employee payroll.Work with regional and corporate to ensure that proper cash disbursements are being done at correct intervals and times.Perform monthly bank reconciliations.Manage the balance of All GL accounts – AR, AP, Other Receivables, etc.Manage Fixed Assets reporting to track changes and maintain fixed assets at the Operating Unit and report to corporate monthly.Balance Intercompany billings and invoices with regional and corporate.Run CPR and Balance to the GL and reconcile with regional controller or cost accountant.Attend monthly Cost to Complete meetings record any project adjustments that are needed processing changes before month end. Ensure monthly forecast is being met and assist with forecast as needed.Attend and assist with weekly/monthly project reviews and Cost to Complete meetingsPrepare and record all project related accruals (ST Rev. Accrual, Uninstall Material, PR Revenue Accrual, etc.)Review committed cost report and work with team to make needed changes to report.Record All General Ledger Adjustments on monthly basis (depreciation, prepaid, Bid entry, etc.)Record All Insurance Entries by Department and report monthly to regional.Record Over/Under Billed and Over/Under Absorbed and report monthly.Record Rebate Transactions and report monthly.Determine Necessary Bad Debt Reserve and report monthly.Review Indirect and SGA Accounts for Unusual/Excessive Activity and report monthly.Ensure Physical Inventory Count is entered into accounting system.Complete and process new vendor credit applicationsAdhere to All Appropriate Closing Dates to ensure that the approved control procedures are being followed.Maintain or oversee the maintenance of all required accounting files and recordsAssist Regional and Corporate offices with internal and/or IRS procedure, and accounting audits.Prepare and file monthly Sales & Use Tax returnNotify CFO/Regional Controller/Unit President of any account discrepanciesMaintain and Manage All LeasesManage company charge accounts (Gas, HD, etc.)Deposit cash to bank.Ensure all insurance documents and lien waivers from vendors are received before payment in conjunction with operationsManage Resource Sharing between Corporate Operating UnitsMaintain required licenses.Assure direct reports have received an annual performance evaluationGuide, direct and train direct reports.
