Role Summary
The Custodian is responsible for the cleaning and care of all non-production or packaging areas to ensure that the building facilities stay sanitized and clean. Main duties will include performing a variety of routing cleaning tasks such as sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, dusting, sanitizing surfaces, and removing trash. This position is vital in supporting overall health and comfort for employees and visitors.

This position requires the ability to stand and walk for extended periods, often up to eight hours per shift. The role involves frequent bending, stooping, kneeling, crouching, and reaching. Candidates must be able to list, carry, push, and pull objects and equipment weighing up to 50 pounds. This position also involves repetitive hand and arm movements. This role may involve exposure to dust, and cleaning chemicals, with proper use of personal protective equipment required. Work is performed indoors, in our non-production or packaging areas, to ensure our office spaces stay sanitized and clean.

Role Responsibilities And Essential Functions
- Perform routing cleaning tasks including sweeping, moping, vacuuming, dusting and wiping surfaces in offices, restrooms, hallways, locker rooms, kitchens, common areas and other assigned spaces as needed.
- Clean and sanitize restrooms, including sinks, toilets, urinals, mirrors, and floors.
- Restock supplies in restrooms such as soap, toilet paper, and paper towels.
- Empty trash and recycling bins and replace liners in offices, kitchens, locker rooms, restrooms, and other assigned spaces as needed.
- Monitor and report any maintenance or safety issues such as leaks, broken fixtures, or damages flooring to appropriate personnel.
- Secure cleaning supplies and chemicals, ensuring they are properly stored and used according to safety guidelines.
- Maintain inventory of cleaning supplies and notify supervisors when items need to be re-stocked.
- Follow established cleaning schedules and complete assigned tasks in a timely and efficient manner.
- Communicate effectively with team members, supervisors, and building occupants in a professional manner.
- Assist in setting up and taking down event equipment such as chairs, tables, etc.
- Maintain confidentiality of information that is gained with building access.
- All other duties as assigned.
Education and Experience:
- High School Diploma or Equivalent (Preferred)
- 1 Year of Experience in Custodian, Housekeeping, or Similar Role (Preferred)
- Experience Working with Cleaning Supplies/Chemicals (Preferred)
