French & Spanish Teacher Responsibilities:
- Teach both French and Spanish courses for middle school students.
- Develop engaging lesson plans and curricula tailored to the needs and skill levels of individual students.
- Teach French and Spanish language skills in listening, speaking, reading, and writing through a variety of instructional methods.
- Create opportunities for students to practice conversational Spanish or French and improve pronunciation and comprehension.
- Participate in regular professional development activities to stay current with best practices and innovation in language education.
- Serve as an advisor for students ensuring student success.
French & Spanish Teacher Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Spanish, French, Linguistics, Education, or related required. Master's degree preferred.
- Proven written and verbal proficiency in both Spanish and French.
- At least 3 years of previous K-12 teaching experience.
- Knowledge of ACTFL standards preferred.
- Willingness to assist with extracurricular and school community activities.
Additional Desired Qualities:
- Knowledge of ACTFL standards preferred.
