Responsibilities:
- Teaching assigned and elective engineering courses across middle and upper school.
- Advisory, service learning, or mentorship role as part of our unique Friday schedule.
- Office Hours, Tutorial, and What I Need Time weekly.
- Robust professional development throughout the year.
- Opportunities for athletic coaching and travel.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Minimum of five years of teaching experience at the middle or upper school level.
- Undergraduate degree in Engineering or a closely related field (e.g., Mechanical, Electrical, Civil, or Applied Engineering; advanced degree preferred.)
- Experience with project-based learning, design thinking, and hands-on, build-oriented instruction.
- Ability to connect with and inspire students.
- Desire and ability to collaborate on curriculum development and interdisciplinary projects .
- Excellent people skills and strong communication abilities (oral and written.)
- Mastery of Google Workspace for Education and comfort with new technologies (e.g., CAD, fabrication tools, or coding platforms is a plus.)
- Experience working with high-achieving or gifted students is an asset.
- Engaging the mind and stirring the soul to connect with the Jewish past and the Jewish present, the Jewish People and the Jewish State, through the broad and embracing lens of Modern Orthodoxy.
