Position Summary:

As a Barista at MARKET, you will be an integral part of our luxury hospitality experience, providing guests with expertly crafted beverages and ensuring their visit to MARKET is as delightful and seamless as possible. You will embody our commitment to quality, care, and attention to detail while delivering exceptional customer service in a fast-paced, upscale environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Greet all guests warmly and provide personalized service that reflects the luxury standards of Carneros Resort and Spa.
• Offer expert recommendations on coffee, teas, and specialty beverages, as well as the gourmet food items available at MARKET.
• Anticipate guest needs and ensure a memorable experience for every visitor.
• Prepare and serve a variety of high-quality coffee and tea beverages, adhering to standard recipes and presentation guidelines.
• Maintain proficiency in latte art and other advanced beverage techniques to enhance the guest experience.
• Regularly test and ensure the quality of beverages served.
• Assist with stocking shelves and displays with MARKET's gourmet offerings, ensuring a visually appealing presentation.
• Keep the coffee station and guest areas clean, organized, and well-maintained in accordance with health and safety standards.
• Monitor inventory levels of beverages and supplies and communicate needs promptly to management.
• Work closely with the MARKET team to provide seamless service across all touchpoints.
• Demonstrate in-depth knowledge of MARKET's offerings, including coffee blends, teas, pastries, and gourmet food items.
• Proactively upsell items by understanding guest preferences and highlighting complementary products.

Qualifications:

• Prior experience as a barista or coffee shop cashier preferred.
• Strong understanding of coffee and tea preparation, with a focus on quality and consistency.
• Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, with a passion for guest satisfaction.
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining meticulous attention to detail.
• Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends and holidays.
