Duties
- Clear and reset tables efficiently, ensuring all dishes, glassware, and utensils are properly cleaned and arranged for the next guests
- Supporting servers in providing excellent service
- Making sure all water pitchers are full throughout the night
- Maintain high standards of sanitation by cleaning tables, chairs, floors, and service stations regularly
- Handle manual tasks such as heavy lifting of trays or equipment using safe lifting practices to ensure safety for yourself and colleagues
- Communicate effectively with team members to coordinate table turnovers and address guest needs promptly
- Support the overall cleanliness of the dining area by sweeping, mopping, and sanitizing surfaces according to food safety standards
- Assist with setting tables according to restaurant standards, including proper placement of silverware, glassware, and linens
Experience
- Previous experience in food service or hospitality is preferred but not required; enthusiasm and willingness to learn are highly valued
- Familiarity with restaurant sanitation practices and food handling safety regulations is advantageous
- Ability to perform manual handling tasks safely, including heavy lifting and prolonged standing or walking during shifts
- Strong communication skills to collaborate effectively with team members and interact politely with guests
- Experience working in fast-paced environments such as hotels or catering services is a plus
- Knowledge of basic table setting techniques and cleanliness standards within the food industry is beneficial
