About The Team
You will be part of Carmeuse Americas, a Rock-Star team of 2500 workers and employees bringing with them their own culture and specific needs. The Americas headquarters are located in Pittsburgh, PA and have over three dozen production facilities across the U.S., Canada, Brazil, and Colombia.
Responsibilities:
- Create blanket requisitions and purchase requisitions into SAP system.
- Receive incoming products and match with PO and transfer inventory in SAP system.
- Track incoming inventory by rail or barge and report demurrage costs on rail and barge.
- Report barges unloaded to the Port Commission.
- Report monthly accrued payables to accounting from our SAP system for reports.
- Prepare reports as assigned by management.
- Process hourly employees biweekly payroll.
- Report on any temporary employees’ hours each week.
- Assist with Human Resources activities
- Coordinate community outreach and employee appreciation activities
- Complete other duties as assigned by management.
- High School Diploma or GED required, Associates Degree or higher preferred.
- 3 years of customer service with process/project management experience.
- 3 years of experience in manufacturing or logistics environments.
- Experience in inventory control, production scheduling, customer service, purchasing, etc.
- Familiar with customer relations and operations personnel.
- Detail oriented with strong planning, organization and multi-tasking abilities.
- Resourceful problem solving.
- Good oral and written communication skills with pleasant phone mannerisms.
- Strong computer skills in MS Word, Excel, database, etc.
- Ability to succeed in a fast-paced environment.
- Experienced in order entry processes.
- Team player; must be able to work as a team as well as independently.
- Willing and able to be on call and work overtime.
