Responsibilities
- Prepare and cook a variety of pizzas using established recipes and techniques, ensuring consistency and quality in every dish
- Operate kitchen equipment such as ovens, mixers, and slicing tools safely and efficiently during high-volume production shifts
- Assist with food preparation tasks including dough stretching, topping assembly, and ingredient portioning to support smooth kitchen operations
- Maintain strict food safety standards by following sanitizing procedures, proper food handling practices, and adhering to food safety management protocols
- Support menu planning efforts by suggesting new pizza flavors or toppings based on customer preferences and seasonal ingredients
- Collaborate with team members to ensure timely service during busy hours while maintaining a clean and organized workspace
- Follow recipe adherence guidelines to ensure each pizza meets quality standards and presentation expectations
Requirements
- Prior experience in dietary aide roles or food service environments is highly desirable
- Demonstrated culinary skills including knife techniques, braising, poaching, grilling, and food production experience
- Knowledge of food safety sanitizing procedures and food handling regulations to ensure a safe kitchen environment
- Experience with menu planning, recipe adherence, and high-volume food preparation in restaurant or catering settings
- Ability to operate various kitchen equipment safely and efficiently under pressure
- Strong understanding of the food industry standards related to cooking, serving, and kitchen hygiene
- Excellent teamwork skills with a focus on supporting a vibrant dining atmosphere
