Certified Lifeguards
We are looking for responsible, energetic individuals who are seeking flexible hours in a fun, fast paced environment. Lifeguarding requires professional and dependable individuals. If you are enthusiastic, love people and the water - this could be the perfect place for you.
Must be able to maintain safe swimming conditions in the pool, deck, and surrounding areas. Able to create a safe and positive atmosphere that promotes member safety and engagement in accordance with Carmel Swim Academy policies and procedures.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Performs as a leader and role model for other staff members and patrons.
- Shows up for work in the correct uniform on time and ready to work.
- Knows and practices all emergency procedures and responds accordingly, which includes attending all staff meetings and in-service trainings.
- Maintains effective, positive relationships with the members, participants and other staff.
- Knows, understands, and consistently applies safety rules, policies and guidelines for the aquatic area.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Must be at least 15 years of age.
- Certifications: CPR for the Professional Rescuer, AED, First Aid, and Lifeguarding.
- American Red Cross Lifeguard, StarGuard Elite, and Ellis certifications will be accepted.
- Ability to maintain certification-level of physical and mental readiness.
- Must demonstrate lifeguard skills in accordance with CSA standards.
SCHEDULING
- Schedules are done on a monthly basis.
- Availabilities are given for each month. Lifeguards are responsible for turning in their availability on time in order to be put on the schedule.
- Shifts are 3-4 hours long.
- Shifts are scheduled at 2 locations (Carmel Swim Academy, 830 City Center Drive, Carmel IN, 46033) and (Carmel High School, 520 East Main Street, Carmel IN 46032)
*Must show proof of certification before scheduling an interview.

Pay: $13.00 - $16.00 per hour
