What are the responsibilities and job description for the Utility Worker position at Carmel Richmond?
Job Summary:
Performs varied duties relating to cleaning and sanitation of food services areas, equipment, utensils, etc., and to the internal transportation of food, materials and equipment.
Essential Functions:
- Performs a variety of tasks, such as sweeping and washing floors, spot cleaning of walls, stove and hoods.
- Cleans all food service equipment and utensils and stores properly in designated areas.
- Separates garbage in an approved manner and transports to designated area.
- Delivers food carts to all dining areas in the building.
- Performs duties in accordance with the work schedule.
- May be assigned to another departmental unit to perform similar duties.
- Assists other employees where needed.
- Responsible and cooperative with supervisors, fellow employees, residents and families.
- Maintains friendly work atmosphere.
- Maintains professional attitude.
- Maintains professional appearance.
- Provides assistance with resident care where applicable.
- Promotes the organizations departments image, philosophy and policies.
- Follow organizational and departmental policies and procedures.
- Follows assigned safety, security and fire procedures.
- Reports any accidents and dangerous situations immediately.
- Maintains confidentiality of organizational and resident information.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
Education:
- Highschool Diploma or Equivalent.
Experience:
- 1 year experience in food services or customer services
Compensation: $26.2139 per hour
