Housekeeper - Environmental Services Worker
Come join us at Carmel Manor! We are a Faith-Based, Nonprofit, Short-Term Rehabilitation and Skilled Geriatric Care facility sponsored by the Carmelite Sisters for the Aged and Infirm for over 70 years. Our mission is to treat all staff and residents with love and respect.
We are seeking to hire an Environmental Services Worker – Housekeeper - Full-Time.
- $14.50 per hour.
- 7am to 3pm daily plus Every Other Weekend.
Environmental Services Worker – Housekeeper Qualifications:
- High School diploma or the equivalent.
- Ability to read, speak and understand English to follow instructions.
- Previous housekeeping experience preferred.
Environmental Services Worker – Housekeeper Physical Demands:
- Stand, lift and walk most of the day.
- Turn, stoop, crouch and reach for high and low cleaning.
- Lift mop buckets for pouring.
- Push and pull mops, dusters, vacuums and buffing machines.
Environmental Services Worker – Housekeeper Job Summary:
- Sweep, mop and/or strip, wax, buff rooms, bathrooms, halls.
- Clean, disinfect furnishings, and fixtures.
- Empty, clean and reline waste baskets.
- Clean bathrooms (Resident, Private, Public).
- Wash sinks, tubs, toilets, mirrors; replenish bathroom supplies.
- Perform terminal cleaning duties in resident room.
- Report supply and equipment needs to supervisor for replenishing.
- Clean nurses' station, utility, TV and shower rooms; kitchenette.
- Monitor/adjust lighting, temperature, furniture location, etc.
