Carmel Hills Care Center is a private, family owned 99 bed skilled nursing facility on the beautiful Monterey Peninsula. We are currently looking to add enthusiastic, compassionate CNAs looking to enhance and further their skill base, knowledge and advance their career. Experience is appreciated, but new CNAs or those with less than one year of experience are welcome.

Our resident mix will challenge your skill set and expand your existing clinical knowledge and experience. To prepare you for this, we offer an extensive orientation and training program that ensures you are ready to exercise your abilities confidently the moment you are on the floor and responsible for resident care. Our residents include those requiring short term rehabilitative stays, wound care, respiratory complications, stroke recovery and long-term care.
Position Requirements:
- Must possess an active CNA certificate issued by the state of California.
- Must be able to speak, understand and read English.
- Able to work independently and stay on task.
- Understand and utilize software programs for documenting resident care.
- Must be able to lift a minimum of 20 pounds, climb small ladders, use step stools, reach for objects, stand and walk for periods of time greater than 20 minutes.
- Successfully pass physical exam, drug screening and background check.
CNA Job Description:
- Promote the core values of Carmel Hills; Compassion, Respect, Accountability, Quality & Professionalism, Complete & Accurate Documentation.
- Assist with the activities of daily living including, but not limited to these self-care tasks: bathing, dressing and undressing, activities of hygiene, repositioning of resident both in bed and in chairs, eating and drinking, transporting to/from activities and dining areas, transferring resident from chair to bed and bed to chair, toileting, changing of briefs.
- Obtaining and reporting vital signs.
- Interact with resident's professionally and with dignity.
- Strictly follow infection control protocol.
- Accurately document care and activity occurring throughout the shift.
- Provide/receive report and the beginning and end of each shift.
