What are the responsibilities and job description for the Gaslight Grill Line Cook position at Carmel Country Club?
Responsibilities include:
• Prepare and cook menu items quickly and accurately during service periods.
• Follow standardized recipes, portion controls, and presentation specifications.
• Maintain clean and organized workstations at all times.
• Stock and set up prep stations for daily service.
• Handle food items according to safe food handling and sanitation guidelines.
• Operate kitchen equipment such as grills, fryers, ovens, and slicers safely and effectively.
• Communicate with team members to ensure smooth kitchen flow and service.
• Ensure ingredients are fresh, labeled, and rotated according to FIFO procedures.
• Follow checklists and prep lists to ensure all tasks are completed on time.
• Support with inventory checks and restocking as needed.
• Adhere to all safety and sanitation procedures including proper hygiene and uniform standards.
• Assist in opening and closing duties as required by the shift.
• Take direction from kitchen management and complete additional tasks as assigned.
• Team members are required to work evenings, holidays and weekends on a consistent basis.
