Role Description The Floor Technician is a full-time, on-site position based at Carmel Country Club in Charlotte, NC. This role is responsible for maintaining the cleanliness, safety, and appearance of floors throughout the clubhouse and related facilities, including carpeted, tile, and hard-surface areas. Day-to-day tasks include sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, scrubbing, and waxing floors; spot-cleaning carpets; and using appropriate equipment and chemicals in accordance with safety guidelines. The Floor Technician will inspect assigned areas, report needed repairs or safety hazards, and coordinate with the Environmental Services and Maintenance teams to ensure standards are consistently met. This role may also assist with event setup and breakdown, respond to cleaning requests during operating hours, and support overall housekeeping operations as needed.
Qualifications
- Strong floor care skills, including experience with Floor Cleaning, Carpet care, and Waxing of various surfaces.
- Knowledge of Environmental Services practices, including safe use of cleaning chemicals, equipment, and adherence to safety protocols.
- Effective Communication skills to coordinate with team members, respond to member and staff requests, and follow written and verbal instructions.
- Ability to perform physical tasks such as lifting, standing, walking, and operating floor-care machinery for extended periods.
- Attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high cleanliness and appearance standards in a hospitality or club environment.
- Previous experience in custodial, janitorial, or floor technician roles in hospitality, healthcare, or commercial settings preferred.
- Reliability, punctuality, and flexibility to work varied shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
