- Supervises campers and ensures their safety, development, growth, skill achievement, and general well-being
- Provides educational and recreational opportunities and enjoyable experiences for camp participants
- Is reliable and able to build good relationships with children
- Monitors campers and responds to incidents, such as behavioral problems or accidents
- Logs events and maintains records relating to activities
